Just a quick note. I know a lot of you are feeling unsure about the future. Well, that’s how the future works unfortunately. Usually bad things happen when we are thinking we are doing well. So good things must be coming! I am looking forward to seeing how 2021 plays out with the vaccine.
The market seems to like the vaccine news.
We continue to do a million tests a day. We have now tested over half the population of the US. If you are in a room with 100 people (which of course you can’t be) 52 have been tested. The other 48 probably don’t want to, so it is amazing to me that they can find a million people a day! Now we hear about increased testing and possible lockdowns. At this rate, the whole country will be tested by Spring. After that it is just hypochondriacs going back for test after test.
November 1 CDC report: CONCLUSIONS: People <65 years old have very small risks of COVID-19 death even in pandemic epicenters and deaths for people <65 years without underlying predisposing conditions are remarkably uncommon. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.05.20054361v2
The risk from dying under age 65 without underlying conditions is roughly one-fifth of driving a car. Why isn’t this reported on the news?
I will leave you with one question: According to the CDC we have done 174,000,000 tests. Well over half of the U.S. population. The question: Of all the people you know, do you believe over half of them have been tested?
Would love to hear your response.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Craig
