Covid 19 Again-Only for the “obsessed-with-statistics types”

April 15th 2020

Scientific explanation:

For those of you that have not heard of the coronavirus and Covid19, I will bring you up to speed.  You are supposed to stay home and play with your toilet paper until you run out.  Don’t worry if you run out, there is none available anyway.  This could have all been averted if Al Gore had not invented the internet!  That was the end of phone books and Sears Catalogs, a 120 yr. long failsafe for such a shortage as we have today.  It is obviously Trump’s fault.

Interesting stuff:

There is so much interesting stuff, this could be 50 pages.

As of April 14th, we have had 25,971 deaths attributed to Covid 19.  We have 611,688 confirmed or “presumptive” cases of Covid 19 in the United states.  New York now has 10,840 deaths.  Combine that with New Jersey (2805 deaths) and they account for over half of the deaths!  We really have a 2-state problem, or 5-10 state problem.  40 states have to sit around because the media is hysterical when you tune in. Still.  Of the 25,971 deaths, only about 5,000 are from those 40 states.

In 2018 we lost 61,000 people to the flu and had over 3 million infections.  This included 144 children under 5.

In the U.S.,1 person out of 537 has gotten the virus.  1 person in 13,713 has died.  But millions are suffering economic hardship and loss of businesses.  I wonder how big of a price we will pay in suicides, bankruptcies, shortened lifespans and mental health problems. (not to mention domestic violence and child abuse.)

While Americans get beat up by the press (mostly our own) they put nothing in perspective.  Total up the top 5 European countries in cases and deaths.  Those 5 countries have 20 million less people than our 1 country. They are way ahead in cases and deaths adjusted for population.   https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries

New York 10,840 deaths of which 3800 are not confirmed to be Covid 19.  So, anyone who staggers in there and dies is Covid 19. The scales are off in favor of panic. Why is Governor Cuomo getting such high marks from the media?  He is watching over a disaster and he’s the darling of the media? https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

The head of the CDC, Dr. Robert Redfield, announced today that they think the virus will “peak” very soon.  Well that was 10 days ago, people.  We peaked on April 4th with 34,196 cases a day.  We have trended down since then to currently 26,000 cases a day or so and dropping.   These are the same “experts” that modeled 240,000 deaths in the US. This is our top guy! Maybe he doesn’t follow it that much.

Was it just me or did anyone else see the bedwetting and handwringing going on in the New York Governor’s office?  We need 30,000 ventilators!!!  30,000 I tell ya!! Today an article in The Federalist said New York already reached its peak projected ventilator usage on April 8, with a projected need of 5,008. The actual use may have been even lower.

Sad stuff

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/29/world/funerals-dying-alone-coronavirus/index.html

Steve Kaminski was whisked into an ambulance near his home on New York’s Upper East Side last week.

He never saw his family again. Kaminski died days later of covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. Because of fears of contagion, no visitors, including his family, were allowed to see him at Mt. Sinai Hospital before he died.

“It seemed so surreal,” said Diane Siegel, Kaminski’s daughter in law. “How could someone pass so quickly and with no family present?”This is really a failure for our country. Mostly old, but some younger, are dying all by themselves.

The families are not permitted to come in.  No waiver to sign, no use arguing etc.  This is really upsetting.  They could transport those people outside or whatever, but we can’t have this going on.  I hope this doesn’t happen to you or anyone you know.  God Bless.

In 4 weeks, this will be over (for thinking people, not the media.)  That is based on the accelerating drop in new cases daily.  This is just my prediction.

See you soon,

Craig
